I had exactly the same reaction to both! It was basically against John McCain's smug condescension and sense of self-importance and Obama's smug wit and intelligence. I much prefer Obama-smug.
My plan is to freeze spending on everything but defense, veterans affairs, and banana pudding.

republicans have this bizarre notion that reagan singlehandedly ended the cold war. of course, for most of his time in office he wasn't actually doing anything because he had alzheimers, but that's beside the point.
