It starts.
Night of Wii Fit hula hoop and skiing + DDR with Matt and The Boy?
Total fucking, epic win.
Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go nurse my spine.

The problem with having an espresso machine is now I can make it just as strong as I want it. Which means I am never, ever, ever going to be happy with commercially bought coffee again.
But I am going to be alert. Oh God, am I ever going to be alert.

I did an admit for an OT/PT student today. Nothing unusual, except he's blind.
I asked to see his ID, and he got out his wallet and handed me his card. I wasn't sure where the room was, and he walked me there. I've run into him before, and he's one of the nicest guys on the planet, but it was exceptionally good to run into him today.
I mean, hell. If a blind PT student can make it, so can a teacher with no hands, right? (Also it makes me think 1.5 times before I whine.)

My new favorite moment in life? After McCain says "I don't think Senator Obama understands the difference between a tactic and a strategy," Obama makes sure to turn his way every time he uses the word "strategy" in a sentence.
Also?
Since when is Ronald Reagan a role model? O.o

Note to self: There is nothing wrong with buying lube, or deciding to hide how faded the couch cushions are. But when you buy lube with a slipcover, be prepared for odd looks.

If you do not want to have sex with the Joker after seeing this movie, you are far more sane than I am.
That is all.

When one of your rats jumps up on the edge of the tub to say "o hai" and accidentally falls in with you while you are taking a bath, it is hysterical.
It is somewhat less amusing when done by the cat.

While effective at making them go away, hissing at dive-bombing crows while on patrol scares the bejeezus out of nearby custodians.

The second worst feeling* in the world is accidentally taking a big swig from a mug of recently-cold tea at 3:25 AM.
*This is, of course, excluding such feelings as labor, being stabbed in the gut, or breaking one's fingers in an automatic gate.

I need to start listening to my instincts again. Here are two small examples:
1) At work on Tuesday, I put the panda hat back on after thinking "I should leave it off until 6PM in case he comes back." Well, he came back, and was not happy to see the hat.
2) A few hours ago, I had the compulsion to get my bag ready for work in case I had no time beforehand. Turns out, alarm wasn't set properly, so I had no time beforehand.
There have been so many more, but my brain is still asleep and I have homework to do.

I could count the reasons I want to go to lab on the fingers of a quadriplegic amputee.

When I was in high school, I took washable blacklight paint and attacked the blades of my fan. On each one I painted a stripe of a color, making each blade 's edge either red, yellow, green, blue, or purple. When the fan turned on, viola! multicolored disc on ceiling. I used to turn it on, strip down to my underwear, hop on my bunk bed, and write in my journal while listening to Rob Zombie.
Now every time I listen to industrial music I want that fan back.

Matt and I are apartment-hunting today, looking for a place to live for grad school and beyond. I was going about it like a college student, looking for places close to campus.
Then I had an epiphany.
I could have a dishwasher. And a patio. And a fucking fitness center. I mean, we're gonna be here for a while! This isn't a subletting deal. This is us, finding a place to live and having jobs and careers!
So now I am looking at nicer apartments, farther away, that allow pets, and have covered parking. Some of them have gates.
And it's making me feel like an adult. But then I remember I dance in the shower, and I feel slightly less claustrophobic.

Took a Valium at 10:30 pm so self could pass out before work. Woke up at 2:40 and realised I didn't care that I was awake. Am now at work in pleasant state of limbo.
Also have forgotten to put on a bra, but thanks to mother's yellow helper, do not care. Maybe that's what spurred bra burning. Women were taken off the drugs and realised they hated the damn contraptions, which they no longer had an excuse not to wear.
Will ponder when again capable of hate.
::EDIT::
Fucking bras.

I have to use a child's toothbrush because my mouth is too small for an adult-sized brush head to scrub properly.
I think I have no gag reflex out of necessity.
