Peachy.
I was informed today that both Fam and Unc will be out of town on Christmas Eve and Day, meaning I will be spending the holiday at home alone.

Isn't that good? They never seem to give you anything but anger and frustration, so an absence is probably the best you can hope for.
Just make the best of it--build yourself a little cave in your room with the rats and then go out to see "Sweeney Todd" and make yourself a delicious Wren-friendly Christmas feast and hang out in your room playing computer games or taking photos of the rats while you watch movies. Don't let the presence and/or absence of those jerks ruin your vacation!
I agree with (the amazingly smart) Maddo. Use this as an opportunity to treat yourself. You've had a tough few weeks. So hole up with a load of DVDs/books/games, add to that some good food and drink (if your body is up to it) and your favourite rats and have some quality Wren time.
I'll try to be online if I can. If only I could get AIM on my phone. :(.
