<3 @ Daryl.

I just spent six hours in the ER with a friend of mine.

*collapses into bed*

::EDIT WHILE IN BED::
Well, Sarah is eating before we form Nap Room, so I'll go into more detail.

Daryl is a diabetic, and he also has some sort of protein defect, so his blood clots and he has to go on thinners. Well, for the past few days his chest has been bothering him, and that's usually a sign that something is wrong. His doctors are closed on the weekends, and last night he was in really bad shape. Sarah and I were really worried about him. He was acting kind of funky and it was obvious he was in pain. So we told him that if he still felt bad in the morning we'd take him to the hospital. (His mother agreed.)

So he woke us up at 9:30 and we got ready, grabbed some homework, and went. We were kind of worried, because once the nurse interviewed him they took him straight back and started running tests and taking blood. They also put him on a pretty massive pain killer.

Well, five hours later they let him go. His blood was thickening, but he caught it early enough so that there was no clotting. He's on Vicoden now, and they're going to tweak his thinner dose.

*sighs* He makes me feel bad for whining about being always sick. At least I don't have a chronic, lifelong disease. He's diabetic and has this blood disorder, but he looks insanely healthy, and he's a mid-distance swimmer. Bah. I fail.

Highlight of the trip? Well, I got most of my homework done, and Vampire Baby was interesting. It's a long story, but nappytime calls.
