I don’t think I’ve ever been so social in my life. Four days of non-stop being around people, interacting with people…I think I would have had a nervous breakdown if the con had gone on any longer. I need to go back through my journals and find when this reclusive tendency of mine began. Maybe if I find the trigger I can stop freaking out.
The worst moment of Ikasu: In the airport, walking up the catwalk between terminals 2 and 3, trying to find my way to the Information Center in the Delta area. I was a nervous wreck, I was tired, I was cranky, and my mp3 player was refusing to play Prince. Absolutely refusing. I was certain everyone was going to hate me, and I felt like I was going to puke.
The best moment of Ikasu: I’m going to stick to situations with objects and not people. I can’t think of a single favorite experience with you guys, and I’m too lazy to type all the good ones out. But finding Key the Metal Idol was the highlight of the materialistic aspect of the con.
The most pathetic moment of Ikasu: Looking around the room at everyone and realizing that we are all on our computers. Not just on them. In the same chat room. Having conversations with each other via AIM. And yet the room is totally silent. I looked around and realized I am a big loser because I found it easier to type to these people than talk to them. That happened less each night, however. So I guess we all got used to each other. But Thinman was right—we DO spend too much time on the computer.
The scariest moment of Ikasu: Well, aside from Rae and his LLAMA *cringe*, it was probably the ten minutes before we had to leave the airport when I could find neither my driver’s license nor my debit card. I was freaking out. I was trying not to cry. I was eating things. Karmically. I did find them right when we had to leave, tho. I had put them in a different pocket than usual in my backpack. Because I’m almost blind, I have usual places for things, and I never think to check to see if they might be anywhere else. Not in my pocket? Not on the table by the lamp? They must have fallen out. Time to go to the front desk.
Or maybe it was being one of two females at the hentai panel and not having a problem with it.
The evilest moment of Ikasu: My multiple plots to steal BDM’s (sister’s) Ein.
The most ticklish moment of Ikasu: SHARPIE TUMMY DRAWING!!! WAI!!
And now here I am, typing this in the airport of Cincinatti, which I am still not spelling right, waiting for a plane that leaves in an hour. Yes, I did get frisked at security. No, this time they did NOT check for crack. But I got felt up quite a lot because of the metal buckles on my pants(u). At least the lady was nice. My plane is going to be yet another pack of gum, too, so I’m not going to get to use my laptop. Stupid weak-ass tray tables. I guess I’ll read Love Hina and ZAAMM. It will be too loud for my mp3 player.
Thank you, Impy, for driving us around and putting up with us teasing you mercilessly about Poe. Thank you for the fucktastic backrub, too. And the tummy drawing. Poe, thank you for not being too afraid of us fanboys. I will not ever forgive you for not bringing your box of Exploitation Now comics, tho. For that, my ghost shall haunt you through the ages. Jas, thank you for your mad wrestling skills. Bastard. *grin*. Also for all the anime and music you loaned/supplied me. Mister B, thanks for not always stealing the covers and for at least trying to like anime. You commie bedmate. Dirk, thank you for the rides, the Thai experience, and the manga. Skjie, thanks for bringing the hat, letting me un-build and rebuild your shoe, and for letting me draw all over you. Also thank you for being a camera paparazzi. Rae…I cannot thank you for the llamas. I suppose I shall have to thank you for not being uber-scary man like you are on the forums. And the drunken impression of me. BDM, your scratchy voice was fun to listen to, and I enjoyed drawing all over your arm. Also thank you for letting me briefly pretend Ein was mine. And Thinny, thanks for the boots, the red hair, and the chance to be practically useless when you needed to work on your truck.
I have to say I kinda don’t want to go back to real life. I would have gone insane if I had stayed around you all any more because I am such an antisocial person and I need my alone time, but it was a lot of fun being able to sleep whenever, hang out with random people, and be a total moron *cough*hentai panel*cough* with all of you. I liked all of you a lot, which makes me happy, and I’d hang out with any of you again. Keep that in mind if you’re ever bored and near Seattle/STL. Or have money to blow on tickets.
