The Ancient Greeks proposed that the world was round, that humans evolved from fish, and that all life began in the oceans when Europeans were still barbarian tribes.
Today, there's still an ongoing debate about whether or not evolution is a real occurance.

I just don't understand why science became the enemy of religion. Back in the day, people saw science as a way to AFFIRM the existence of God, not challenge it.
