Chemistry is so good at making me feel so goddamn dumb.

::EDIT AFTER LOTS OF WHIPPED CREAM::
So I just found out that the chem class I'm in is intended for juniors at my uni, but last year the chem department decided to discontinue Chem 111 and bump all us freshies into chem 230 instead. So now we're struggling with stuff the course assumes we already know. People have been crying in lab. It is freaking TERRIBLE.

So the profs tell us the reason why they did it was because it emphasises how necessary accuracy and stuff are with measurements for all the pre-med students. If we're off by 3% bla bla side effects death bla bla bla...and yes, it is a valid point. I want my doctors to be good at that sort of thing. But I am not pre-med.

I wanted to raise my hand and go "Um, I hate people and want to work at a zoo, can I be excused?"

I mean REALLY. The Asian Crested Porcupine isn't going to care if I accidentally give him an extra food pellet. Big biology and higher-level math do not go hand in hand. They don't tango. They don't even say "hi" when they pass each other on the street.

So why the hell am I trying to make them get along in my head?
